Is your body like your home, or vice versa?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 23, 2009:
Is my body like my home, or vice versa? My body is my home and my home is my body, this is where I reside full-time, I never leave it. How I take care of it manifests itself in the way I feel and experience life. For me, to experience life with a body that is equal to the task, producing aliveness, vitality and a passion for living is the reward for intelligent and responsible maintenance of my home. The view of life is always from my home, producing sort of a hologram of what’s inside my home. The house I live in is something that is external to me and has no feeling, I take care of it to support my needs. I think that most people view their house through the eyes of others, seeking approval, gaining acceptance and looking good. I think most people find it easier to take care of their house rather than their home/body, after all, manipulating the external world is certainly easier than taking responsibility for oneself and life itself.
