This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for April 27, 2009:
Seeing and being with happy people. But given the way the world is now, that is a rare experience. My senses tell me that what is most important and what people really worship is; power, wealth, titles, badges and position, the struggle to be at the top of the heap, so to speak. To this image I cannot connect leaving me astray enjoying the wonders and magnificance of life in a kind of soitude.
So now traveling this wonderous country has become a great pleasure of mine, seeing different refections on a daily, if not moment to moment basis. People, lifestyles, places,
and landscapes all have a meaning of there own, and it is these vicissitudes that I love. But at the same time, I know that more joy and happiness are availabee in life, which leaves me open to infinite possiblities. Discovering 'that something' to be totally passsionate about has been evasive to me, but I still remain engaged in life.

You're on the right track. You are at least aware of all the wonders and possibilities and can keep that positive image in mind in all you choose and do.
There always be those negative things - the meaningless, useless titles, lifestyle, greed. They will be permanent fixtures in human society. But we all can choose each moment to appreciate and love being alive –and do good. No matter what is happening, we must find our centre of calm, and make the best of even bad situations. The best spiritual discoveries come in stillness and silence, not by mind mending thoughts. But I think you already know all this.
